More than just a wig, 2025 This photo series explores how drag and performance can serve as powerful forms of self-expression within the queer community. By photographing a drag named Koko on stage and behind the scenes, I aim to show that drag is not a disguise but a visual language through which identity and inner strength are expressed.
ABOUT

Irsa Vane is an artist that explores themes like toxic masculinity, performativity and LGBTQ+ experiences. she is drawn to people who live outside her own bubble: individuals whose emotions, stories or presence challenge her to look further. She values working from real situations and letting research and human connection guide the image, rather than focusing purely on aesthetics. Through her photos, she aims to create honest, emotional images that foster understanding. Whether she is making a photo book or collaborating with magazines or clubs, I hope to build bridges, one click at a time.
